Top Ten Reasons to Visit Alaska!

Hey all you vamps and scamps! We are having a great time in Alaska... I am still no mail, but I decided to post my customary blog from our friends' house...

I'll be home late Wednesday evening, but it may take a while to catch my breath and get back online.

But anyway, here are my top ten reasons to visit Alaska... in no particular order...

10) There are no snakes in Alaska!
9) Getting to watch a glacier "calve" is way more exciting than watching ole Bessie drop a calf...
8) The northern lights really are as spectacular as they look in books...
7) The men outnumber the women by a great margin!
6) You can visit a national park that is larger than Switzerland and has taller mountains!
5) There are so few highways that they are numbered "1", "2", etc. Saves space on traffic signs. :)
4) You can drive down the road and see a moose out your car window...
3) The stars at night are so brilliant, you decide city living may not be all that it's cracked up to be. :)
2) You can see a humpback whale and a bald eagle and a mama otter with her baby on her belly all in the same afternoon...

And the number one reason to visit Alaska???

1)It really is possible to see unspoiled wilderness and magnificent vistas and be proud that the "Last Frontier" is our 49th state. The adventure of a lifetime...

Pictures to follow over the next couple of weeks.... I'll "see" you all soon!

Fondly,
Janice

Sounds just gorgeous Janice! I might have to re-think my thoughts on Alaska. I love all that nature, and the stars. And the northern lights are glorious.

So are those guys hot? Or do they look like Grizzly Adams? If it's the former, I'm putting my vote with Judy - bring us back some mountain men!

I'm anxious to see the pix :)

Glad you're having such a good time, Janice! It sounds beautiful.

Btw, I had dinner with a friend Saturday night and she told me she read Suite Fantasy and she absolutely loved it. :-)

Hey, ladies - thanks for stopping by to comment! I get on a plane tonight for the long trip home. Yawn...

Erin - I am so happy to hear that your friend liked Suite Fantasy. Thanks for telling me!

And as for the men in Alaska - well, there are definitely some odd ones... but I have seen a cutie or two. :)

I'm going to a B&N in Fairbanks after dinner to see if A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS is on the shelves!

Hope everyone had a good Tuesday.
