(Insert musical score from White Christmas) Snow, snow, snow, snow, snow!
Well, curiouser and curiouser... after a tantalizing taste of Spring, we here in the south were plunged back into an unexpected bit of winter. It was snowing when we went to bed Friday night... woke up to a decent dusting. I scooted outside to take a few pictures before we loaded up the car and headed south for some family time during Easter weekend. Went on a very COLD egg hunt that afternoon. Had a nice day Sunday with church, lunch, and watching the little ones play with their Easter basket stuff.
I seem to be living with my suitcase packed these days. Got back from NYC Tuesday night the 3rd, slept in my own bed for four nights and then gone again. Which makes it hard to get any work done, that's for sure. I had copy edits on one book and revisions on another book waiting on me when I returned from the trip to the Big Apple.
New York was wonderful as always. We were there before the "big chill", so we had cool days, but not cold ones. And plenty of sunshine.
Anybody have big travel plans for this summer? I will have been gone so much for the first half of the year that except for Lori's thing in June, my summer actually looks pretty calm. I'm still debating going to RWA in Dallas, but leaning toward no.
So how about the rest of you? Any cruises, car trips, flights to exotic places??? Spill the details!

Hi Janice, nothing exciting planned for me as far as I can see now. I would like to take a trip down and see my kids in California, but not sure if that is going to materialize or not.
As for the weather, we have been having crazy weather here as well.
We plan to spend as much time at the lake as possible, but we're also looking at some all inclusive resorts in Florida. What we've found so far is very expensive (for us anyway) so I'm not sure about going on that kind of trip. The kids want to do another cruise, but DH is not too excited about that, so we'll just have to see what comes up.
My nephew is getting married in Orlando in August, so several of us in my family will be making a quick trip down there.
My daughter, Anna, and hubby and Chris will be moving to Nashville (Vanderbilt) that month, so we probably won't linger in Florida.
Bummer...
I have plans to go to New York and Los Angeles in the month of August. Other than that, I'll probably stay in San Francisco. I hope the weather here will be warm. It's a bummer having a cold summer.
Not for me, but my hubby, son and MIL are planning to go to Maine. I just can't take more time off having just started my daycare 7 months ago and already have taken a week in April, taking another day to spend with my mother again in May and then the Lori and Dianne get-together, which I will sorely need as an escape from all I've been going through by then...shoot, I could definitely use that now after hearing that the 7 mos old boy I've been caring for is now more mobile since I last had him - 2 weeks - he's crawling everywhere and pulling himself up on to furniture. Having that on top of the 3 mos old I have full-time...can't say "get-away" fast enough! :-) I can only hope hubby takes lots of pics of their trip! I hate missing out on any kind of family togetherness!
So far, no big trips planned. We just went down to the San Diego Wild Animal Park for a day visit. We would like to head to the East Coast for a vacation. And, Madison has been asking to go to Florida (not sure where that came from except for Disney World)!
Cryna - I would love for you to come to CA! I would travel to meet you!
So far the only thing that I have planned in the Reader/Writer Get Together with Lori Foster and Dianne Castell. I also plan on taking my kids for a long weekend to Busch Gardens/Water Country and also to Ocean City, Maryland.
I will be going to the Get Together in June, YAY!! My family and I will probably also make a trip to Southern Oregon to see friends and some family. Probably won't do much more than that.
No plans for me. Just staying close to home anymore.
