Happy Birthday to me *grin*

And no, I'm not telling my age. I don't feel as old as I am though. I got a letter from AARP wanting me to join. I felt a little older when I saw my name on it. I chuckled when Karl got one a few years ago. It wasn't nearly as funny when mine came in the mail. I mentioned my age to my 10 year old granddaughter and her mouth dropped to her chin and she exclaimed that was really old. I admit, I did feel a little older then, too.

I think the old saying that we're only as old as we feel stands true and I feel really young---well, except when my knees pop. I remember when I was really young and I'd pop my fingers. That was fun. Popping knees aren't.

I could make a list of why growing older is fun, I guess.
1)
2)
3)

And then again, maybe there aren't any good reasons.

Okay, I guess there are some things to be said for growing old. I don't have to clean my room if I don't want to. I can go shopping and actually spend money on myself. My house is almost paid off.

Karl says I'm not getting older, I'm getting better. I just think he wants to play golf this weekend. That's okay, though. I'm going shopping--because I can.
Have a good day!

First of all..... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I think that women worry about getting older more than men but I think that we grow, mature and change with age more than men do as well and for the most part for the better. Age gives us the freedom to do what we want to do and not what we have to do much like the Red Hat Ladies ;-) proclaim... a group that I plan on joining once I reach the big 5-0.

Happy birthday!

We can be birthday buddies. LOL My nephew was born today, too, and I just found out a friend's birthday is yesterday -- he's exactly one day older than me!

Lots of great Libras out there...

Enjoy your shopping!

I like the fact that now that my children are self-sufficient enough they don't need me to cut up their meat, I don't have to cook if I don't feel like it. Plus it's really hard to plan meals now that my kids are teens and doing their own thang after school, which leaves me getting to do things I want like read my favorite authors' books, go get a spa treatment, shop for more books, go to the hair dressers when I feel like it, or make a date with my hubby and not have to worry about getting a sitter! Happy Birthday Karen...you have my permission to go shopping again today or just relax in the comfort of your own home with a good book!

Happy Birthday Karen. I sent you a little something special off loop.

One good thing about getting older if I don't feel like cleaning I don't.

I can take a nap when I want.

I don't aim to impress like I used to

Happy Birthday Karen

Yeah, getting older does have some advantages, I can eat what I want, when I want now, especially since the kids are no longer home. But then you are only as old as you feel, so go for it.....Go shopping and have a terrific day.

Happy birthday, fellow Libra! I love how many women age with confidence and spunk - I hope I can be that way when I am in my 50's.
